Danielle Wallek, DVM
Danielle Wallek, DVM grew up in East Texas and moved to Corpus Christi in November 2013 where she joined the Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital team. Dr. Wallek purchased the clinic in May of 2014. She attended Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science in 2006. In 2010, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. Dr. Wallek and her husband, Dustin, live in Corpus Christi with their dog, Copper, a German Shorthair Pointer.
Jeanette Curran, DVM
Dr. Curran grew up in Corpus Christi and has spent most of her life here. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University – Kingsville. In 2016, she graduated from Texas A&M University – College Station with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and joined the Animal Medical team shortly thereafter. Dr. Curran has contributed new views on medicine and animal health. She spends most of her free time expanding her clinical knowledge and enjoys time with her family and lovable Terrier, Eddie.
Katelyn Ingram, DVM
Dr. Ingram and her husband, Austin, grew up in Weatherford, Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Industry from Kansas State University in 2015 and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. Her professional interests include surgery and ultrasound. In her free time, Dr. Ingram enjoys fishing, hunting, and going to the beach with Austin and their two Brittany Spaniels, Paisley and Goose.
Julie is originally from Corpus Christi and has over 16 years of experience working as a Veterinary Assistant. She worked at Animal Medical and Surgical Hospital for eight years before it became Animal Medical Corpus Christi and is valued by many of our regular clients. Julie attended Del Mar College and Murray State College and has learned much of what she knows from hands-on experience. She loves the color purple and shares her home with two dogs, Loretta and Lefty, two cats, Rabbit and Foster, and a turtle named Fred.
Shelley is originally from South Georgia. She attended Texas Baptist College where she earned a minor in Child Psychology. Shelley joined the Animal Medical team as a receptionist in 2014. She and her husband, Matt, have two beautiful daughters, Sadie and Madelyn. They also share their home with three cats and a Yorkie named Moseley.
Betsy was born and raised in Corpus Christi. She joined the Animal Medical team as an intern while working toward her Veterinary Assistant certification. After completing the program, Betsy began working as a Veterinary Assistant. She shares her home with nine African Geese and enjoys working on the farm with her father. Betsy enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Dylan, and loves to draw, paint and swim. If you need a good laugh or something to smile about, you can always count on Betsy and her fun-loving personality.
Andrew was born and raised in Corpus Christi. He is currently working toward earning an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology and is a certified wildlife rehabilitator through the International Wildlife Rehabilitation Council. Additionally, Andrew holds a Texas Parks and Wildlife state license and has completed veterinary basic and advanced CPR courses through Cornell University. He shares his home with two dogs, Maggie and Louisa, two cats, Charlie and Toby, a rabbit, an iguana and tons of fish. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys wildlife and nature photography.
Terri was born and raised in Pennsylvania before moving to Corpus Christi four years ago. She has been in the medical field for over five years and joined the Animal Medical team as Practice Manager in 2017. Terri enjoys spending her free time riding motorcycles with her husband and walking on the beach with her dog, Xena.
Sarah has been a registered veterinary technician for 11 years. Sarah stays busy with her 3 cats, 2 ball pythons, a dog, a leopard gecko, a crested gecko, a bearded dragon and 2 kids, Zoe and Oscar! In her free time, she likes to fish!!
Lezlie has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M Kingsville. She has 3 horses, 2 dogs, and 4 cats. She enjoys horseback riding and hanging out with friends and family!
Lexi has been working in the veterinary field for 4 years. She is currently a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi and hopes to attend veterinary school after graduating. She has 2 dogs, Aladdin and Yuki.
Christy has a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture from Texas A&M Kingsville. She has 8 dogs, 2 cats, 4 rats, 3 horses and a snake! Her and her mom foster dogs until they find their forever home for several rescue organizations!
