Surgery

1454717374Surgeries are currently performed on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We ask that patients coming in for surgery have no food after Midnight and have the water removed in the morning. Patients may be dropped off from 7:30 AM until 8:30 AM for their surgery. Surgeries start promptly at 9 AM. We recommend a pre-anesthetic blood panel to all surgeries and require it for those over the age of 7 years.

Surgery Requirements

  • Depending on the type of surgery, half the cost of surgery may be required prior to surgery
  • Anesthesia/Surgical Consent form must be signed electronically
  • Patients are required to be completely vaccinated for elective surgery

      • Distemper/Parvo/Adenovirus Vaccine
      • Bordetella Vaccine
    • Feline
      • Rabies Vaccine
      • Feline DRC Vaccine
      • Feline Leukemia Vaccine

    • Elizabethan Collar is offered if patient might lick or chew the incision area.

  • Feline Declaw
    • In Patient Surgery
      • Patient will stay overnight
    • Yesterday's News Litter, which is paper based, will be sent home post surgery
    • Pain Medication sent home post surgery
    • Antibiotic injection given during procedure
    • Pain Relief injection given during procedure
  • Growth Removals
    • Out Patient Surgery
    • Antibiotic injection given during procedure
    • Pain Relief injection given during procedure
    • Elizabethan Collar offered if growths are in an area the patient can reach to lick or chew.
    • An estimate can be worked up for individual patients; this procedures' cost is dependent on how large and how many growths are being removed.
  • Cherry Eye Removal
    • Out Patient Surgery
    • Antibiotic injection given during procedure
    • Pain Relief injection given during procedure
